Our Story

Rise Up Housing Development is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization based in King County, WA. It was founded with a deep understanding of struggle and resilience. As a single mother raising children and supporting displaced teens, our founder saw firsthand how the lack of safe, stable, and affordable housing creates cycles of hardship for families and youth.

 

The Problem:

Too many single parents and foster teens are forced into unstable living conditions, leaving them without the foundation they need to succeed.

Across Washington state, affordable housing is out of reach for countless families. Single parents often have to work multiple jobs just to make ends meet, yet still face the impossible choice between rent, food, and childcare. Foster teens aging out of the system frequently find themselves homeless within months without guidance or support. Traditional housing markets leave these vulnerable groups behind.​

The Vision:

Rise Up Housing Development was created to change that story. Our vision is to transform land, cottages, container homes, and even unused commercial buildings and hotel/motels into thriving, supportive housing communities. We are not just building homes, we are building hope, dignity, and opportunity.

The Mission In Action:

Through partnerships with local government, businesses, and nonprofits, we develop affordable housing solutions tailored for single-parent households, foster and misplaced teens, and low-income families. Each project is designed with sustainability in mind, utilizing eco-friendly construction, solar energy, and community-centered layouts. Our goal is to provide more than shelter; we create environments where families can stabilize, youth can grow, and communities can rise together.
